 A-League spreads the gospel

A-League spreads the gospel

2/07/2008 4:00:00 AM
THE A-League is expected to reach out to regional areas more than ever before during the 2008 Pre-Season Cup.

And, the Newcastle Jets will contribute to this spread of football in the country by playing games in Cessnock and Port Macquarie.

In this spirit, the Jets are hosting a coaching clinic ahead of their August 2 clash with the Melbourne Victory at Port Macquarie’s Regional Sports Stadium.

The clinics, from Tuesday, July 15, to Thursday, July 17, at Wayne Richards Park, will allow youngsters in the Hastings - and surrounding regions - to advance their football skills and meet some of their favourite Jets players.

The participants will be divided into two age groups: 6-10 years: 9am – midday; 11-15 years: 1pm - 4pm.

The cost of this exciting three-day package is $99 (including GST), and includes registration and a Newcastle Jets supporter pack.

Jets players will be in attendance on Thursday, July 17, for an autograph session, presenting a great opportunity for young players to meet their A-League heroes.

To apply for this coaching clinic, simply visit: www.newcastlejets.com.au to download and complete the "Port Macquarie Coaching Clinic Form" in the Related Items column on the right hand side of the page.
