OFFICERS arrested 100 people in the police northern region during a state-wide crackdown on outstanding offences at the weekend.
Of those arrested during Operation Avert, 67 people were charged over outstanding warrants.
Mid-North Coast Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Mick Heap said police would continue to target offenders wanted for crimes and with outstanding warrants.
"We will be relentless in our follow-through to arrest those people, including those wanted for breach of bail," he said.
Operation Avert targeted offenders wanted on warrants, fingerprints and other forensic evidence, as well as ensuring bail compliance.
The police operation used overt and covert policing methods and ran from Saturday through to Monday.
A total of 460 arrests were made across the state and 640 charges were laid.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at Taree after police allegedly located six bags of methylamphetamine. He was charged with breaching bail and drug offences.
Operation Avert spokesman Frank Mennilli said the highly coordinated operation had been extremely successful.
"This coordinated approach allowed police to combine the skills of many sections within the NSW Police Force ? from investigators and highway patrol officers to forensic specialists and general duties police ? to achieve outstanding results," he said.
